You are the chef.
We just bring the fire.

Your individual lava rock arrives at the table searing hot — your own private grill. Lay down a slice of fillet, a fillet of fish, a handful of vegetables, and listen to it sing. No two diners cook the same. That is the point.

All our steaks are 28-day aged beef, sourced from our local butcher Joseph Morris and delivered daily. From there, every bite is yours to command — blue, rare, or somewhere in between.

Our Story

On The Rocks is an independent, family-run grill set on the first floor of a Victorian building dating to the 1800s. It's run by Alison and Sean, supported by a longstanding, genuinely knowledgeable team.

The room is rustic, warm and unhurried — built for long dinners, big celebrations and the kind of evening you don't want to end. We keep things local: our beef, our butcher, our welcome.
